1. While the child sucks milk, you notice the characteristic movements of a chin of the kid. During a drink, the chin falls down, hangs and then returns to the place. The longer a peculiar pause at lag of a chin, the more milk was received by your child when feeding.
2. It is considered that at artificial feeding, the child adds every day 30 g of weight. For the children who are on chest feeding, this indicator is a little lower. To age of half a year the child has to gain about 500 g a month. Consider that by 4th month of life the activity of a set of weight is lost.
3. The first three days of life the child gets rid of meconium which collected in its organism throughout all pre-natal development. Meconium has pronounced, dark green color. The more breast milk the kid receives, the his chair becomes lighter. At normally developing child receiving enough breast milk, the chair has watery consistence, a slight smell and mustard color. 4. For the child 5 days are more senior, already plentiful urination is characteristic. If you replace per day to your child 5–6 thoroughly registered diapers, be sure – your child receives enough milk.
5. Sometimes mothers are disturbed by feeling of insufficient fullness of a breast. Be not frightened! Most likely, your body adapted to the mode and needs of the child still insufficiently.
6. And the most evident way how to learn whether there is enough breast milk, the child will show you. The hungry kid will not release your breast, and will actively continue to suck it. And in case milk reached a limit, and the child remained hungry, you will understand it on his loud, dissatisfied shout. Or the child will reduce pauses between feedings.
