Character call set of mental properties which define features of behavior of the personality. Traits of character are the properties of the person defining any given way of life and an image of behavior.
Instruction
1. All is distinguished by four groups of traits of character. It is possible to refer lines which define the attitude of the personality towards people to the first group. It is about such properties as keenness, sociability, responsiveness, respect, and about their contrasts — callousness, isolation, roughness and contempt.
2. It is accepted to refer lines which show the attitude of the personality to the business and work in general to the second group. Refer conscientiousness, diligence, responsibility, tendency to creativity and also laziness, dishonesty, passivity to this group.
3. The third group includes traits of character which show how the person treats himself. It is possible to refer pride, self-criticism, self-respect, self-conceit, sensitivity, vanity, egocentrism to these properties.
4. The last group includes lines which characterize the relation of the personality to material objects and things. First of all, it is about accuracy or untidiness, negligence in the address with things and other similar properties.
5. In education of the person the central or core properties of the personality (the attitude towards surrounding people and to work) have important practical value.
6. If to ignore the core relations of the personality, it is impossible to correct separate shortcomings (for example, falsity or roughness) or to cultivate the necessary merits. Changes of character do not give in to pointed influences to receive positive result, it is necessary to change all system of the interconnected properties, at the same time it is necessary to pay attention to formation of the correct core relations. For this reason it is so important to bring up since childhood the correct attitude towards surrounding people and work as the plastic children's mentality gives in to similar influences easier.
7. The character is directly connected with temperament. Temperament call combination of features of the personality which are connected with dynamic or emotional aspects of human activity. The temperament is not defined directly by the devil of the personality, however between properties of character and temperament there is an interrelation. Features of manifestation of character depend on temperament. For example, the sociability at the phlegmatic person and the sanguine person is shown differently. The temperament can influence extent of development of traits of character. Depending on type of children's temperament it is necessary to use different methods of education to cultivate in it positive properties of character.
