1. If you communicate in ICQ by means of the QIP application, in a main window of the program (a window with the contact list) click the Setup button. In a new dialog box open the section "Antispam" which in any application version is in the menu at the left.
2. Make sure that in the section "For Those Who not in My Contact List" the checkbox near Not Accept the Message about Authorization command is deselected, and in the section "Options" permission to reception of messages from users who are not in the contact list is set. Close a window, previously having saved the made changes by clicking of the Apply or OK button.
3. Ask the user who needs to be added to your contact list, to send you a request for authorization. For this purpose he needs to right-click in the contact list according to your account and to choose the Authorization Request command in a context menu. 4. For implementation of the similar procedure in the Mail.ru Agent and ICQ applications it is not required to perform tuning of the client, it is enough to ask the user not from the contact list to send you a request authorizations. This action is made as well as in the QIP program.
5. Sometimes after authorization confirmation the new contact though appears in the list, however its status is displayed incorrectly that complicates communication. In such cases you can send in return a request for authorization or ask the user to send you the repeated application that in most cases helps to solve a problem.
