The Mozilla Firefox browser is one of the most popular programs for browsing the Web thanks to the functionality. The program also supports blocking unwanted to browsing websites. For use of this function you should install the special extensions in the manager of additions.
Instruction
1. Open Mozilla Firefox, having used a label on a desktop or the Start menu. After that click in the left top part of a window to open the menu of the program. Among the offered points select "Additions".
2. In the top right part of the appeared tab enter the name of the BlockSite extension. It will allow you to enable support of blocking of undesirable resources, to add the page to "Black list" and also to disconnect any links to these websites – the browser will show instead of them only the text. The Password protection function will help to protect change of settings of a plug-in. Click Enter to start search.
3. In the list of the received results select this expansion and click "Add to Firefox". Allow loading of addition and key "Install Now". After installation restart the program.
4. Once again pass into the Additions menu of a window of the browser. Among the installed extensions click BlockSite – Preferences. Check opposite to the section "Include BlockSite". Also select the line "Black list" to include functionality of expansion. That links to the blocked resources were removed from the text of other websites, you can select "Include removal of links" and "Include warnings". Also it is necessary to set the password for change of settings of the program. For this purpose select "Include authentication".
5. Key "Add" and enter the address of the website which you want to block then click "Ok". As soon as you finish adding of undesirable resources, key "Ok" once again and restart the program.
6. At once to import the list from several websites, you can create the separate text file with their addresses. Click with the right mouse button on a desktop and select "Create" - "Text file". Then open the created document and enter the addresses of resources, access to which you want to close. Each address should be entered in a new line.
7. Save the made changes, and then pass into a settings window of expansion and select the section "Import". Specify path to the created file and click "Ok". Adding of the unnecessary websites is complete.
