1. It is possible to build a local area network with internet connection sharing in two ways. In the first case you need the router, and in the second – the network hub (only when you need to connect a large number of computers).
2. Let's consider the second option because it is rather cheap. All your expenses will come down to purchase of the network hub.
3. Select the computer which will perform functions of the server. At it there have to be at least two connectors for connection of the network cable. It will be better if it is the most powerful computer among all devices of network.
4. Connect a cable of connection of provider to this computer. Configure Internet access.
5. Buy the network hub. It is possible to buy the simplest option in which there are no managed ports – they to you to anything. Connect this device to the alternating current main.
6. Connect all computers of a local area network to this network hub. Use for this purpose RJ 45 network cables.
7. Turn on any computer except the server. Open properties of a local area network. Pass to settings of the TCP/IP protocol. Enter the IP address which will differ from the server computer address only in the last segment. Fill the "main gateway" and "preferred DNS server" fields, having entered into them the server IP address.
8. Repeat the previous step for all other computers of network. Consider that all devices should have different IP addresses.
9. Open properties of connection to the Internet on a server computer. Pass to the Access point. Allow Internet access for all computers of a local area network.
10. Pay attention: it is necessary for access of all computers to the Internet that the server computer was included, and connection with the Internet - is active.
