How to define a font on the website

1. The most exact way to define a website font it to look at CSS properties. Modern browsers have special purpose tools, the task much facilitating this.

2. To look at a font in the Firefox browser, click the text block interesting you with the right mouse button and click "Investigate an element". Click "Style", located in the lower right corner of a window and in the appeared window click "Properties". Enter into the search string on properties - "font". The browser will display all settings of the text of the set element. Among them there will be "font-family" specifying the name of the necessary font. Also in other properties you will be able to define style and thickness of the text.

3. Similar function in Chrome is called "Viewing the code of an element". Having clicked it, open the Computed Style list located in the right part of the Elements tab. Find in it font-family property to learn the name of a font.

4. In the Opera browser this function is called "Inspect an element". Select it, switch to the Documents tab and click the Styles tab which is in the right part of a window. Enter in the Filter-font field. Open The Calculated Style list, among the listed properties there will be a name of a font.

5. You can also define a font on the website by Microsoft Word. It can copy the text in the document with preservation of formatting from almost any source.

6. To define a font by the Word program, insert into it clipboard contents by means of the right mouse button or a key shortcut of "Ctrl+V", having selected at an insert "Save initial formatting". You can also use a key shortcut of "Ctrl+Alt+V", having specified in the HTML format menu.

7. Look at the displayed font on the Main tab. This way is easier, than viewing CSS properties, but in certain cases Word defines a font incorrectly. Be attentive.
