Periodically users of VKontakte social network face that at a login to the account there is a message about blocking of the page with a request to send the SMS message to the short number. This manifestation of a virus which can be deleted with one of several ways.
Instruction
1. The virus limiting access to social network "VKontakte" most often gets on the computer when downloading the free applications which are allegedly simplifying work with the website. The administration of a resource never uses short numbers for a page unblocking therefore do not try to send the SMS message to the specified phone at all. So you will only lose money, and access to the account will be still closed.
2. Click the My Computer icon and pass to disk C. Specify in a search string of ""vkontakte.exe"" without quotes then click Enter. If you find files with such name, they need to be deleted. Also try to carry out search by the names vk.exe, VKontakte and similar it. Delete all found results.
3. Use antivirus software to delete a virus with automatic means as quite often it masks under other name. If you have no opportunity to install a volume and resource-intensive antivirus on the computer, you can use free utilities, for example, by means of Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool. They can be found in the Internet.
4. Edit the hosts file. In the presence of the installed Windows XP operating system pass into the My Computer folder and enter in an address bar: %SYSTEMROOT %\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. Users of Windows 7 and Vista need to use %SYSTEMROOT directory %\system32\drivers\etc\. Open the hosts file by means of the Notepad text editor.
5. Study file contents. Delete the lines including the addresses vkontakte.ru, vk.com, etc. Also try to delete all lines, having left only one with the name localhost. After saving the made changes reboot and try to come into the account in social network "VKontakte" again.
