The link is a website URL address or the pointer on the document with the HTML extension. The link can be both with the www prefix, and without it. This prefix does not play a special role for the user.
Instruction
1. In each browser there is an address bar and respectively in it there is a website address. It is easily copied as the literal text. Select the address (in a top line of the browser), click PKM (right mouse button) and copy. Or you can use the Ctrl+C hot key. Now the address is stored in a clipboard, and it can be inserted into any text box.
2. Depending on where you want to publish this link, it is necessary to apply different methods. In IM clients (ICQ, Skype) needs to put the http:// prefix before the website address that the link was clickable (active). For a link insert in the letter click "Insert the Link" on an icon and in the appeared dialog box enter the website address. After clicking the OK button you will see already active link. If you want to insert it at a forum or a bulletin board, then it is necessary to use special HTML tags or bb-code.
3. The HTML language is language for a text marking on the Internet. But, unlike the Microsoft Word text editor, formatting of the text happens by means of special words – descriptors (tags). They consist in angle brackets, for example, the Official site of Microsoft. From this record it is visible that each tag has the beginning and the end. it is obligatory to write. Otherwise the tag will not work. The text should be strictly between two tags, otherwise links it will not be visible. BB-CODE is very similar to HTML, but instead of angle brackets square are used. For example, [url=http://microsoft.com] the website Microsoft [/url] where there are also two tags (opening and closing), the reference to the website is given in the opening tag after an equal sign, the text is written between two tags. Make the link on the above-stated sample and insert into the message at a forum. As a result only the inscription which is specified between two tags will be visible, and in it there will be a link to the website.
