1. The first that can be made for search of friends of VKontakte, it to enter all known names and surnames of friends (relatives, colleagues and so on) in the field "Search" on top of the page. After that look who those whom you already added have in friends who writes them on a wall – perhaps among them there will be your mutual friends. Thanks to service which allows to divide the lump of friends into the groups "On Higher Education Institution", "On School", "Colleagues", "Relatives", "The Best Friends" it is possible to find on other pages of the general companions at once, depending on where you for the first time got acquainted. But it is possible only if the person separated the friends into above-mentioned groups.

If you rather in detail filled out own profile, then click on any your interest, the favourite place, year of release or group, institute, the favourite movie and so on – and you at once receive the list of people who specified at themselves in a profile the same. So you not only will be able to find classmates or schoolmates, but also colleagues, and just interesting persons.
3. It is also possible just to click the tab located in the menu under the name "People". Here the field for input of words, names and names for search will open, on the right it is possible to configure the filter on the region, school, the university, age, sex, marital status, favourite places and the place of work, living position, military service and so on. Having entered, for example, in a search box the word Music above, it is possible to receive the list of all people who specified this word somewhere in interests or fields about themselves. 4. It is also possible to find friends of VKontakte through search of interesting communities in which thousands of people consist. It can be communities of the different companies, institutes, vendors of products, shops, popular magazines and portals. For this purpose select in the menu on top a tab of "Community" and scroll everything in search of necessary, or also enter words in a search box for convenience of finding of necessary community, or use the similar filter on the region of communities and their type on the right. It is possible to find the list of participants where it is possible to carry out search of the necessary people also in each community.
