At start of some games, especially old, on each side the screen black strips can be observed. It is connected with the fact that a game is designed for other permission, and in settings there is no opportunity to change it. It is possible to remove strips in this case by means of some drivers and programs.
Instruction
1. Click the right mouse button on a computer desktop. Select the Display resolution item. The window with characteristics of the monitor and orientation of the image will appear. Press the button of expansion and specify lower value by means of the runner, than it is installed at present. If you know what parameters are demanded by a game, then try become them. Click "Apply" and "Ok".
2. Download the latest version of the Catalyst Center program and install it on the computer if you have an ATI brand video card. Click the right mouse button a desktop and start the Catalyst Control Center application. In the appeared window select the section "My Built-in Screens" then turn into "Properties" and note the On the Full Screen point. Click "Apply", located in the program window lower right corner. After that again right-click on a desktop and open "Display resolution" then set value permission to home position.
3. Start a context menu, having right-clicked on a desktop, and select "Nvidia control panel" if you installed the video card of this brand. Pass to the section "Display" and select the Adjustment of the Size of Situation item then click on "Use scaling of Nvidia" and save settings. And again return old display resolution.
4. Start a game which it was necessary to remove black strips on each side. If all of them still are present, then do the above procedure again, but with other permission. Also it is worth checking the version of the installed drivers. If they became outdated, then it is recommended to start update.
5. Come into "The center of updates" of the Windows 7 operating system and check near the corresponding point and click "Update". If you use other version of Windows or other OS, then it is necessary to delete old drivers and to install new. Execute it it is possible in "Device manager".
