How to fry stuffed cabbage leaves

Stuffed cabbage leaves – a tasty meat dish, it isn't obligatory for which preparation to devote all your free time. You can prepare from the traditional recipe. And you can fry "lazy" stuffed cabbage leaves. It will take not enough time!

It is required to you

  • For traditional stuffed cabbage leaves:
    • 1 big head of cabbage;
    • mincemeat - 500 g (beef and pork in equal proportions);
    • rice - 0.5-0.75 glasses;
    • onion - 1 piece;
    • carrots - 1 piece;
    • tomatoes - 2-3 pieces (or replace 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce or ketchup);
    • garlic - 2-3 cloves;
    • greens;
    • vegetable or olive oil for frying;
    • salt;
    • sprinkling pepper;
    • tomato sauce or ketchup (for sauce) - 2 tablespoons;
    • sour cream - 3-4 tablespoons;
    • broth or water - 400-500 ml;
    • For "lazy" stuffed cabbage leaves:
    • 500 g of forcemeat;
    • half-glass of rice;
    • 1 head of onions;
    • half of a small head of cabbage;
    • 2 crude eggs;
    • gerkulesovy flakes - 1 tablespoon;
    • flour (about 4 tablespoons);
    • tomato paste - 2 tablespoons;
    • salt and pepper to taste.

Instruction

1. Wash up a head of cabbage and sort on leaves. Boil cabbage leaves in the added some salt water. You cook 1-2 minutes, before softening. It is possible to boil a head of cabbage entirely. When leaves become soft, get a head of cabbage, let's cool down and flow down to water. Sort on separate leaves. Cut off a reinforced part of a leaf.

2. Make forcemeat. It is better to take forcemeat from 50% of pork and 50% of beef. Clean and small cut or grate onions. Wash up and clean carrots. Grate it on a small grater. Fry onions and carrots to softness on vegetable or olive oil. Wash up and chop fresh greens. Boil rice to semi-readiness. Wash up tomatoes, husk with them, small cut. It is possible to grate them or to crush in the blender. In the absence of fresh tomatoes take tomato paste or ketchup. Peel garlic, miss it through a press for garlic. Connect all these ingredients and well mix.

3. On cabbage sheets lay out forcemeat. Curtail sheets with forcemeat an envelope.

4. Properly fry the prepared envelopes in a frying pan or a stewpan on vegetable or other oil. If you fried stuffed cabbage leaves in a frying pan, then for further cooking shift them in a stewpan or a roasting pan.

5. Prepare sauce. Mix tomato sauce or ketchup with sour cream and water or broth. Fill in with mix stuffed cabbage leaves so that sauce hardly covered them. Salt and pepper to taste. You stew stuffed cabbage of 30-40 minutes.

6. If you have a little time for cooking, use the recipe of "lazy" stuffed cabbage leaves. Boil rice until ready. Cut cabbage approximately on 4 equal parts, boil. Then crush in the combine or the meat grinder. Add the boiled rice, the processed cabbage, a grated bulb to forcemeat. Hammer 2 eggs, add salt and pepper to taste. It is possible to add also a handful of oat-flakes. Properly mix forcemeat and create cutlets.

7. Roll in cutlets in flour, fry in well warmed frying pan before formation of a ruddy crust. For frying use vegetable or olive oil.

8. When on cutlets the crust is formed, add tomato paste to a frying pan, add water that it almost completely covered stuffed cabbage leaves. You extinguish on average fire.

9. It is possible to bake stuffed cabbage leaves and in an oven or a convection oven. Oil a form for roasting, lay out the stuffed cabbage leaves fried from two parties in a frying pan in a form, fill in with tomato paste, sour cream and water sauce. Prepare about 20-25 minutes.
