How to make tinctures

During the summer period there are all conditions for preparation of fragrant fruit tinctures. Some of them are preparing with alcohol addition, some have the natural fortress received in the course of fermentation.

It is required to you

  • For apricot tincture:
    • 6 kg of apricots
    • 200 гр sugar
    • 7 carnations dried
    • Cinnamon
    • nutmeg
    • For cherry tincture:
    • 2 kg of cherry
    • 5 liters of alcohol
    • 500 гр sugar
    • Vanilla sugar
    • 6 pounded cherry pits
    • For medical tincture:
    • Vodka - 0.5
    • Propolis - 10 гр
    • Lime color - 1 tsp.
    • Prunes - 50 g
    • Thyme - 1 tsp.
    • Mint - 1 tsp.


1. Apricot tincture. Small cut apricots, break stones, take out kernels and crush them in the coffee grinder. Put apricots and the crushed kernels in a bottle. Fill in with water, add sugar, cinnamon, a carnation and nutmeg. Close bottles, put to the dark place for about 2-3 weeks, periodically shaking up. Pour on portion bottles and let's infuse a few months more.

2. Cherry tincture. Touch cherry, wash out and dry on a napkin that excess liquid was absorbed. Put cherries in a 3-liter can, fill in with alcohol, put sugar, vanilla sugar and cherry pits. Cover to bank with a napkin, close a cover and put to the solar place. Periodically to bank stir up, you watch sugar remelting. In three months filter and pour on bottles.

3. Medical tincture. Small cut prunes, mix with lime color, a thyme, mint and fill in with vodka. Densely close a bottle and put to the warm place for 2 months. Filter tincture, add propolis, again close and let's infuse a month more.
