Popular winter vitamin drinks

Winter – time of a heat of infectious diseases and colds. Good help for increase in immunity and avoiding of diseases is consumption of vitamin teas. They differ in good taste and will be pleasant to all family.

One of the most known vitamin drinks for cold season is ginger tea. It can be drunk both for prevention of cold, and during a disease for the speedy recovery.  

It is necessary for preparation of 4 portions of drink: 2 roots of ginger, a third of a lemon, 5-6 tablespoons of honey and spice to taste (it is possible to use black or allspice peas, cinnamon, an anise, a carnation). Ginger should be cleaned and cut small segments, to cut a lemon with semicircles. All ingredients need to be filled in with hot water 70-80oC (but not boiled water as it destroys the useful substances which are contained in products) and to leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes. It is also possible to make ginger drink in a thermos: in that case, it will infuse much better and will become juicy and spicy.

Other known vitamin drink for winter is cranberry or cowberry drink. These berries contain huge amount of vitamin C that provides reliable prevention of ORZ and colds. Besides, berry drink can be drunk as in hot, and cold.

For preparation of 1 portion of cranberry vitamin drink it is necessary to take a cranberry handful (it is possible frozen), 2 h a spoon of honey, than 5-7 sheets is fresher or the dried mint, 4-5 needles of rosemary. All ingredients need to be mixed, kneaded a spoon and to fill in with the water heated to 80 wasps. Hot drink can be used for treatment of cold and ORZ as it has good anti-inflammatory and sudorific effect.
