Trees of walnut treats long-livers. Their age is calculated by five and more than hundreds of years. And at fifty-year age these trees still are considered as young (being in the juvenile period).
This culture begins to fructify in general in "infancy". Distinguish three forms of walnut in culture: skoroplodny, large-fruited and ordinary. The Skoroplodny form can yield the first fruits in three-four years after landing.
Grades and terms of fructification
Ordinary walnut – one of the largest fruit plants in midland. Its size reaches 6 meters at the age of 6 years. And the krone expands in the diameter up to 20 meters. Skoroplodny forms
Skoroplodny forms have indisputable advantage, the short period of the introduction in fructification. If normal and large-fruited nut begins to fructify for 6-7 year, then the first nuts on tree of skoroplodny grade will appear twice quicker. This grade of nuts has been found by scientists less than 80 years ago in the Tashkent region. They blossom for the third year, enter fructification, and the next year yield already notable harvest. Flowers of this grade are collected in brush on which several nuts are tied and ripens. And in 12 days after the first phase of blossoming the second comes. If at the first blossoming it is formed on soplodiya to four fruits, then at the second – more than ten. At other forms this sign is absent.
Conditions and leaving
In order that fructification has occurred as soon as possible, when landing walnut and in care for it it is necessary to meet number of conditions. Secondly, in the spring green foliage of young nut should be protected from returnable frosts.
