By production of many types of products the concept "running meter" is used. Especially often it is necessary to face this concept during construction or repair. What represents running meter, not all know.
Instruction
1. The concept "running meter" is used for simplification of calculations of quantity of products, for example, of linoleum or fabric for curtains. At the same time, only product length is accepted. The word "running" means that product width standard for any given products. It considerably simplifies carrying out calculations and also partly reduces the price of cost. Thus, the running meter is not the length of the manufactured products, but products size.
2. Measure length and width of the room for which you want get, for example, floor covering. For measurement use tape measure or centimetric tape. Write down the obtained data on leaflet. They will be useful to you in shop.
3. Having addressed to shop, consult the selling assistant what width there is floor covering necessary to you. Let's say your corridor two meters in width and 5 in length. You can choose material 2 meters wide and buy 5 running meters, or 4 meters wide, having got 2.5 running meters. In the second case you should cut independently bought floor covering lengthways.
4. Recheck calculations before to you cut off the necessary number of running meters. Remember that to return products which are on sale on metric area to shop (outlet) it is impossible. Data on it contain in the Consumer Protection Law. For simplification of calculations it is possible to translate length and width of the room square meters. Similarly arrive also with metric area of material which you buy. Perhaps, it will facilitate your calculations.
5. Know, than bigger product width, will cost those more expensively running meter. Now increase the price for one running meter by the cloth length which to you was cut off. It will also be the sum for payment. Pay the bought goods at the checkout.
6. Having come back home, once again recheck the measurements. Do not forget to buy necessary for joining of edges if it is required.
