When you decide to buy the plasma panel, face certain difficulties in the presence of wide choice. To buy that panel which will suit you it is necessary to know for sure selection criteria.

1. Measure the size of diagonal in inches as it is considered traditional measure when choosing plasma. Panels are divided, proceeding from this indicator, into three categories: it is less than 40 inches, from 41 to 49 inches and more than 50 inches. Most of all at the market it is presented displays of the second category. They are done practically by all known manufacturing companies. Most often it is possible to meet the panel with diagonal 42 and 43 inches. Less than 41 inch you will meet panels not so often as production them does not represent big benefit for the companies, and consumers do not wish to buy the small plasma panel.
2. Select permission according to the number of pixels. The it is higher, the "invoice" of the picture on the display will be better subsequently. Pixels has to be as much as possible. However the final quality of the image depends on method of its forming (progressive or interlaced development). Do not overestimate role of these indicators as they are not defining when choosing the plasma panel. Usually peak values of contrast and brightness, but not all real are indicated models. Just take them into account, but be based when choosing, estimating other qualities.
3. When checking indicator of ports and connectors pay attention to possible connection to your potential display of speaker systems and also the computer and other devices. The minimum complete set ports and connectors is availability of SCART, RGB (or S-Video), Y/C, the optical output of channels of sound. Thanks to availability of these exits the improved quality of the image and sound is guaranteed.
4. Choose such model of the plasma panel which has the greatest number of flowers that the picture seemed to more realistic. The maximum quantity of flowers at the moment is more than 68 billion. The panel has to support, at least, the main color systems (NTSC, PAL, SECAM), but it will be better if it can read also others.
