1. To make right choice of section of cable, define at first the most significant factors for wiring. Let's say you lay short network with heavy load – means, the choice of section under the terms of heating will be defining. 2. Keep in mind that aluminum wires though cost cheaper, but, unlike copper, have number of essential shortcomings: are oxidized on air, have limited flexibility. Besides, the conductivity of aluminum cable is lower, than copper and, therefore, at identical characteristics, the last will possess smaller cross-section that is important at open wiring.
3. Before making final choice, do not forget to consider all electric devices which you will connect to the power supply network. Better if the cable has small stock on power. It will give you the chance further to connect to it additional electric equipment.
4. When calculating section of wires always incline upwards. For example, you need to find the section of copper wire to connect the 4 kW electric device. Find the size of 5 kW in the help table and receive the rated value equal to 1.5 square millimeters. But as it is always better to take cable with "stock" therefore 2.5 mm2 will be optimum section, in your case.
