The one who thoroughly equips seasonal or country dachas constantly thinks of additional decoration of the available territory. Statue – great option if you have aspiration to creativity. But for creation of such difficult product it is necessary to follow certain instructions.
- - Cement;
- - water;
- - bucket;
- - rubber gloves;
- - water spray;
- - plastic foil;
- - wire;
- - trowel;
- - nippers.
1. Create base for statue, having made any rigid construction of curved form. Use for this purpose wire mesh which is on sale in rolls. Take nippers and cut off excess parts of wire that the necessary form has turned out. The rest will serve as framework for statue. Also it is called "anchor".
2. Put on pair of rubber gloves for work with concrete. It, as a rule, caustic, and you can burn skin at its long impact on hands.
3. Mix cement and water in bucket so that the turned-out solution became dense and reminded dirt. Take small amount of concrete in hand and fill in it in intervals between statue framework wire until it covers all basis of sculpture. Do this operation on all parts of creation as the layer will be reduced considerably because of wires. Each subsequent concrete layer will be already that level from which you will mold statue.
4. Spray a little water on surface of statue and cover it with construction polyethylene film that concrete has hardened, and it could dry. This material represents thin plate of flexible plastic which you can buy in any hardware store.
5. Apply the second concrete layer on the first, more dense level. Manual molding give statues the necessary form and execute other parts at your discretion. Remember that you have about 1 hour for performance of this work from the moment of dispersion of the first layer.
6. Let's creation dry and harden within 5-8 hours. Remove residues of soft concrete by means of any improvised tools.
7. Sprinkle statue small amount of water and cover all design with plastic. Leave it to dry still within a day. Apply on the surface of concrete much more of sealant to protect it from cracking.
