1. Recipes where it is possible to use starch, there is a lot of. Starch represents white powder, and, depending on the recipe, can be added as ingredient in the dry and divorced look. In a dry form it, for example, can be added to dough, at first having mixed with flour.
2. However add to such dishes as kissel, starch in the divorced look. The fact is that starch has sticky properties (therefore it is used in production of glue) if to provide it suitable conditions. If to fill starch in a dry form in kissel, then lumps are formed – it will stick together in hot kissel. It can lead to the fact that kissel will turn out very liquid as fruit drink, but with lumps.
3. Not to feel disappointment, previously correctly dissolve starch. Starch should be dissolved in boiled, in cold or warm, but is not hotter, water. Use proportion about 1:2. Water has to be approximately twice more. The amount of water can and be increased, but at the same time you remember that it will be reflected in total amount of water of the prepared dish. Fill in starch with water and stir until it does not disperse on water. In water starch will not be dissolved, and disperses, mixes up.
4. When time to add starch to hot substance comes, once again mix starch in water because it will accumulate, and filter through strainer. It is possible to dissolve starch already before addition in kissel if you are sure that you will make it quickly. Now it is careful, fill in with small stream the received mix in the boiling water, continuously stirring slowly with it. Starch will evenly disperse.
