It is possible to make polyfoam own hands in house conditions if you have house workshop and polystyrene balls. It will be required to you quite big quantities of balls from polystyrene to receive full-fledged polyfoam.
Instruction
1. Polyfoam manufacturing techniques essence – in inflating of balls which then stick together among themselves. For this purpose you will need source of hot steam. Heat balls from polystyrene until they begin to be inflated and increase in sizes.
2. Heat balls, previously having placed them in that form which then your sheet of polyfoam has to accept. When balls are inflated, they will begin to stick together with each other, and as a result will take the form of your capacity in which you have placed them. During heating of balls from them formaldehyde will be emitted therefore work only in the aired room, and for safety use respirator.
3. Wait for cooling of penopolistirolovy weight. Prepared in the similar way, polyfoam can turn out brittle and low-quality therefore if you have the corresponding equipment, you can try to make polyfoam on more perfect technology.
4. For production of carbamide polyfoam prepare solution, having mixed water of room temperature with the catalyst of curing and foaming agent. Start the mechanical unit for polyfoam production, and then fill in in one capacity of installation pitch, and in another – the received solution.
5. On entrance of installation compressed air moves then pumps are started and cranes of containers with pitch and with solution open. In the prepared forms fill in foam weight, and then dry it. Extract ready polyfoam from forms and cut it fishing line or string. The drying time of polyfoam makes 1-3 days.
