2. As the phytophthora quickly extends on thickened landings, plant potatoes rows with row-spacings in 70 cm and more. Especially it will help to avoid infection in rainy years.
3. The fungus at first gets on leaves, and then already passes to tubers which darken and decay at storage. Process landings at the first signs of emergence of phytophthora. 5. From antiquated methods it is possible to try the following. Sprinkle potatoes with the first signs of phytophthora solution of yeast. On 100 g of yeast take 10 l of water. If you have small landings, process them infusion of garlic arrows. On the 10th waters take 500 g of arrows and 1.5 g of potassium permanganate.
