The garden radish is vitamin-rich, and grow up it everywhere. It is necessary to notice – the plant whimsical, often goes to arrow, grows rough and bitter, and even wreckers will eat. To grow up radish tasty, juicy, it is necessary to observe some subtleties of agrotechnology.

Early stable harvest is yielded by early ripening varieties, such as "Heat", "18 days", "Presto", "The French breakfast".
When to plant garden radish to the open ground
Important condition for receiving root crops of high quality – the choice of landing time of garden radish in soil. The cold-resistant plant, besides does not love long daylight hours therefore and it is necessary to put it a bit earlier, at the end of April beginning of May. Contrary to common opinion that the radish from cold goes to arrow, at low temperatures shoots of garden radish feels perfectly, without any shelters transfer lungs, to - 2˚C frosts and the shooter do not give.
Later landings of garden radish should be watered daily with cold water, it is desirable that it was overhead irrigation. And in general, the root crop needs frequent waterings if to water it seldom, vegetable grows rough and bitter.
How to prepare bed
The good harvest of garden radish turns out on loams with neutral reaction. For neutralization of the soil bring lime or ashes. On very sour lands ashes consumption on 1 m² about 1 kg, limes – 200-300 g. For slabozakislenny soils on m² there will be 400-500 g of ashes or 100 g of lime enough.
Prepare bed under garden radish since fall. Dig over heavy soils with addition of mature compost or sawdust of deciduous breeds of trees, add 10-15 g on 1 m² of phosphorus-potassium fertilizer. If it is necessary, bring soil converters.
Choose the space for radish opened, well lit. Do not put under trees, in fence shadow at all, and that instead of root crop receive "mouse tails" or the blossoming glade.
How to plant garden radish
In the open ground the radish well grows in the combined landings, for example, with onions, garlic, carrots. In such cultivation there are pluses:

- plants are protected from wreckers – garlic and onions frighten off cruciferous flea beetle and cabbage fly which larvae are capable to spoil all harvest.
Plant garden radish in grooves, 4-5 cm in depth, made on perimeter of onions and garlic beds. It is possible to alternate rows of vegetables on one bed.
Well and one more helpful advice – do not overdo radish on bed. Pull out the grown root crops, wash, put in plastic bag or container and remove in the fridge. At the outgrown radish the peel grows coarse, then it becomes empty, becomes inedible.
