The wooden level with the profile which is cut on it is called baguette. Make it of tree, metal or plastic. The frame, first of all, serves as decoration of picture, gives it the finished look. It is correct to issue picture in baguette – task which demands availability of taste and certain experience.

1. At registration of picture in baguette you remember that the picture has to dominate always. The binding part between picture and your interior is assigned to frame. It is necessary that they were combined on color gamma and supplemented each other. The invoice and ornament of baguette have to repeat the motive represented in picture.
2. Baguettes of color mahogany or nut will be suitable for pictures with prevalence of warm colors (yellow, orange, red). Pictures of cold shades (gray, blue, violet) will well look in light tree or silver.
3. The baguette on color can be a little lighter or is more dark than basic color of picture. Coincidence to non-core color of picture is allowed. Practically the baguette of color of natural wood approaches all pictures.
4. At registration of picture consider frame depth. That the stretcher was not visible, depth of baguette has to be 1.5 cm.
5. Select ornament, color and profile of baguette, considering the equipment in which the picture is executed. Pay special attention to antiquarian picture. The baguette for picture has to correspond to that era in which the work has been created.
6. Do not make out traditional painting under glass which will grease surface charm. Such pictures have the saturated invoice – it underlines identity and skill of the artist. Under glass place graphic works or photos.
7. The wide baguette will add the importance and solidity to picture if it is located over sofa or fireplace. Use thin frames for group of pictures or graphics on wall.
8. Do not forget about style of picture. Do not make out vanguard painting in wide baguette of classical form with stucco molding. Narrow modern baguette the picture painted in Baroque style will not suit.
9. Make out abstract picture in baguette of different color, but one profile: for example, the top corner of blue color, lower – yellow.
