Because of moisture influence many unprotected metal parts of the car are subject to corrosion. Most often motorists face corrosion of thresholds. Their repair is carried out, changing entirely part.
It is required to you
- - drill;
- - carbon dioxide welding;
- - Bulgarian;
- - leaf from iron.
Instruction
1. Prepare for work: open windows, switch-off the accumulator, prepare the fire extinguisher (check that he was worker). Sort inside of the car in that place where you will repair.
2. Exactly set the car, adjust doors on gaps.
3. Apply the prepared new part, note the place of expected joint. Cut old threshold by means of the Bulgarian along welding seams, but leave small stock (about 10 mm). For removal of induction welding which has welded other places use drill, drill take 8-10 mm. Remove old threshold.
4. Smooth out all places of drilling, establish new part to the place of old. Adjust on gaps and doors. Record threshold and once again note places for joints. Cut off the left stock, get it for arch (rack) on 5 mm and take. Further adjust threshold on joint.
5. Make openings at distance of 30 mm, use drill with drill of 5 mm, but not less. Smooth out places for future seams. Then establish threshold, previously adjust and fix it and take welding.
6. Weld those places where continuous seams. Do it by short seams (points) with breaks. Breaks are necessary that metal has cooled down. Pay attention to external seams, they should not be with intervals which are not welded.
7. Fill the made openings with metal. In the last turn execute welding of the repaired threshold from below. Smooth out threshold from the flows which have turned out during the work with the Bulgarian.
8. Process by means of movilnik threshold from within, and outside anticorrosive soil.
