1. Never use the garden earth for cultivation of houseplants as in it there are wreckers who act perniciously. Attentively get acquainted with conditions of cultivation of flower. Look what soil he prefers in what conditions grows.
2. Before planting plant, loosen the earth, so it will become porous and air-permeable. Substrate should not contain lumps, the dried-up roots and leaves.
3. As a rule, earth mix consists of several components - it is the turf, peat, sand, moss, humus, manure and others. Each plant loves any given additive. For example, palm trees and cypresses prefer the earth which contains the minimum level of acidity. Such soil treats cespitose which is prepared on meadows and pastures.
4. In case you use the earth with sand addition, get coarse-grained river. Carefully wash out it, remove all small garbage. After that you can sift it through large sieve.
5. In certain cases cultivation of plants requires drainage, for example, perlite, haydite. Such drainage layer does the soil of more friable, opens access of oxygen to root system. Remember that the earth has to breathe, otherwise the plant will wither and will die.
6. In case you prepare basis for garden plants, then it is necessary to do it in the fall, it is desirable after leaf fall. Collect all fallen leaves, after that dig over the earth, removing the remains of last flowers. In case you need to make the soil of heavier, add humus.
