Orchids – one of the most beautiful and whimsical plants, such attractive to flower growers. Which of them does not dream to grow up this fine flower at home?

1. The orchid - house flower, well adapts to life "in bondage" and blossoms up to 6 months in year. However this beauty demands thorough leaving and care. Do not forget that orchid – the epiphyte, i.e. grows on other plants or on trees.
2. It is necessary to land it not to the earth, and in special substrate which can be bought or made independently. For this purpose pine bark which needs to be touched properly hands is required and to study regarding availability of various parasites. Further bark needs to be boiled and dried within several days, and then to boil and dry repeatedly. Ready bark should be mixed with live peat dust, it needs previously also to be touched and examined. Some types of land orchids (precious, shoes) need quite large number of moss.
3. In pot there have to be openings for water drainage and ventilation. It is necessary to lay drainage on bottom of pot. As drainage it is possible to use small pieces of polyfoam, beaten brick or granite crumb.
4. So, the drainage keeps within plastic pot on legs, further on three quarters we fill substrate and we place in it orchid. Do not press on roots at all! The orchid – flower tropical, very much loves heat, but do not leave it under direct beams of the sun. For watering use warm water, do not forget to humidify plant leaves, for example, to spray them every morning.
