After cutting of tree there is stub which, as a rule, spoils view of all garden site. In certain cases stubs can be used in the decorative purposes, but usually it is necessary to get rid of them. There are several ways of removal of stub from the site which differ on time, labor and financial expenses.

1. It is possible to remove tree stub in the chemical way. For this purpose on cut drill opening, fill up in it sodium or potash saltpeter. Cover stub with film that the rain has not washed away it. It is possible to accelerate process of removal of stub saltpeter, having made the concentrated solution and constantly filling in it in stub long time. When heating, saltpeter emits oxygen. Therefore when stub all will become impregnated with saltpeter and will dry, set fire to it. Thus, the stub completely burns out, even that part which is in the earth.
2. Method of removal of stub saltpeter cannot be used if the garden site is located on peat soils. It can lead to ignition of peat which is difficult for extinguishing. In that case strew stub with coarse salt. Salt will impregnate it, having destroyed wood. In year the stub will be dust, but the soil can be damaged – do not apply this method if the site where there is stub, is used for cultivation of plants. It is possible to delete stub with salt only for clearing of the site for construction.
3. Much quicker and more effectively to solve problem of removal of stub in the mechanical ways. The fastest and easy method is to order the special machine for the cabin of stubs. In a few minutes the stub will turn into heap of chips. Garden societies where it is possible to address that for moderate payment to remove stub have usually such machines. It is also possible to order services of the special companies which by means of professional tools, winches, anchor drill, jacks and other equipment will remove stub.
4. If you do not want to spend money for removal of stub, try to root out it independently. Dig out shovel the earth around, having taken detour with a diameter no more than one and a half meters. Strong water jet wash away the earth that roots have seemed. Sharp hacksaw make two cuts, having removed stub piece to 10 centimeters. Begin to shake stub, for this purpose it is possible to use scrap as the lever.
5. If the purpose of removal of stub is to prevent emergence of escapes from it, then cut it very close to the earth. Drill drill several openings on stub circle, through funnel fill in in them solution of any oxidizing substance, for example, of ammonium sulfate. Close up openings with clay. Acid will get to wood, interfering with emergence of escapes.
