Durability of the built house depends not only on what brick is used or as load bearing walls are located. A lot of things depend on cement which is applied when laying brick. To reveal quality of cement slurry and to decide on components which in the best way will approach does not make problem. It is important to approach this question in a complex and with all responsibility.
Instruction
1. The cement slurry can be used not only for forming of brickwork, but also for plastering, filling of part of support and even for registration. For all these tasks select the list of components corresponding on quality and structure. Are present at solution: sand, cement and water. You add to solution as well the corresponding softeners if it circumstances, for example demand weather patterns or terms of construction.
2. Choose quality sand. Take only bank sand with size of grain up to 2 mm, but without small and clay inclusions. If there is no other option except career or ravine, then sift it or wash out to get rid of crushed fines. Solution for bricklaying should not contain clay inclusions, it is required only for plaster to achieve smoothness. Check that in sand there are no foreign particulates, especially such as remains of plants or what can decay or decay over time: paper, wood, grass, coal, plastic, any other garbage.
3. Use only the fresh and checked cement. Stale cement inevitably gathers moisture, from it it loses the binding properties. Only large wholesale or professional shops with the prepared warehouse are capable to offer suitable goods. Check quality of cement, having just squeezed zhmenyu in fist. Quality and dry cement will "proceed" through fingers. If it compresses in lump and does not break up, then it is better not to use such cement. Check cement for availability of lumps or stones. If those are available - the cement which has already dampened. Brand 400 portland cement will be suitable for brickwork.
4. Take only clear potable water for grout mixing or concrete. Durability of solution and quality of hitch of cement and sand depends on quality and purity of water. In case in water there are impurity of oils or it is too mineralized, it as a result will affect durability and exterior of cement. Do not take water from open reservoirs, such as small rivers, lakes or ponds at all.
5. Consistence of cement slurry. At solution batch strictly adhere to compounding and weigh all ingredients. The consistence of solution for forming of brickwork has to correspond to consistence of the wet soil, i.e. not spread, but also not be scattered. Put solution lump on plain dry surface. Around it it should not be formed pools of the followed surplus of water. It should not be scattered or spread in the form of blot. The lump has to settle a little, approximately on third, but to leave the form. If all and occurs, then the cement slurry is suitable for forming of brickwork.
