Foam concrete belongs to those few materials which correspond to the first degree of fire resistance. This fact has been confirmed with the tests which are carried out in Australia during which foam-concrete blocks 150 mm wide were affected by temperature not less than 1000 degrees. Result of these tests – lack of ignitions of material within 4 hours. Except high fire-resistant qualities, foam concrete is excellent soundproof material as its structure has high ability to absorption of sound waves. The building microclimate from foam concrete reminds microclimate of wooden house that is very important if to consider gradually worsening environmental setting. If to take such concept as toxicity coefficient in attention, foam concrete on the characteristics concedes only to tree and ranks second. The toxicity coefficient, for example, of brick is equal 10, and blocks from haydite – 20. Among other things, thanks to ideal ratio of weight, volume and packing, foam concrete is one of the most convenient materials for transportation. Important: in order to avoid possible problems, it is necessary to get for construction only the certified material.
