Today there is no universal plaster which could satisfy all needs of the buyer. The choice of these products depends on large number of factors and first of all has to be based on its compliance of ultimate goal of use. However, certain parameters nevertheless can help to choose good plaster.

1. For finishing of walls and ceilings of dry rooms with heating and uneven walls it is better to choose the plaster plaster allowing to cover surfaces with thick layer therefore walls do not need puttying. The good plasticity and high adhesion and also small specific weight of plaster plaster give it excellent warm and sound-proof indicators. Besides, such plaster will "breathe" and not to interfere with ventilation of the room. From its shortcomings it is possible to mention low moisture resistance and incompatibility with concrete on which it will not keep.
2. Limy and plaster plaster is ideal for wooden, brick, keramzitobetonny and concrete surfaces, restorations of monuments and buildings and also alignment of walls. Lime plasterings differ in fast hardening which can be referred both to advantages, and to shortcomings as it causes the worker big inconveniences. Besides, this type of plaster differs in high requirements to humidity of the room at its application in interior finish (up to 60% of humidity).
3. Cement and sand plaster favourably differs from plaster in higher moisture resistance and possibility of use for external works – for example, plasterings of facades of houses or walls of non-residential premises. As for premises, cement and sand solutions perfectly are suitable for plastering of damp rooms and concrete surfaces which cannot be covered with plaster plaster. Long drying, big specific weight and the need for reinforcing of thick plaster layer belong to their shortcomings.
4. And, at last, limy and cement mixes to which light filler – lime, allowing to spend economically plaster is added are considered as one of the best plasters. Besides, lime gives to this type of products excellent plastic characteristics whereas the knitting cement component provides to it high morozo- and moisture resistance. The lime cast is used for exterior finish of walls and interior finish of non-residential premises with wooden partitions. Its only shortcoming is the gradual shrinkage demanding drawing several plaster coats.
