Cucumbers are rather simple in cultivation therefore are loved by many gardeners. Heat and moisture first of all are necessary for their successful cultivation. Their surplus or shortcoming can lead to stop of growth of cucumbers.
Why cucumbers slow down or stop growth
Most often fans of early planting of seedling or crops of seeds to the open ground face similar problem. The first warm days – yet not occasion to rush in whirlpool of garden affairs. Wait for optimum warming up of the soil! Cucumbers – culture thermophilic. Continuous daytime temperature not lower than 20-22 wasps is necessary for their successful development. At the same time at night stem of thermometer has to be in limits of 12-15 wasps.
Before planting of seedling or crops of seeds of cucumbers in soil make sure that it has got warm till 10-12 wasps. Otherwise you doom seeds to rotting, and seedling on development stop. In the cold soil at cucumbers the gentle root system is damaged: it loses ability to incorporate water and nutrients. In this case leaves will be vyat even after watering.
Heat surplus for cucumbers is not less pernicious shortcoming. Many gardeners make mistake when conclude seedling under film and seldom air shelters. Cucumbers love heat, but not heat! Already at 32-35 OS they begin to suffer: their leaves quickly evaporate reviver, and roots do not manage to absorb in due volume. The result is sad – cucumbers slow down or at all stop growth.
Problems with watering – one more frequent reason of bad development of this garden culture. Cucumbers love water, but do not suffer its surplus! Especially at early stages of development. The earth has to be humidified moderately, but not wet. The root system of cucumbers needs air and carbon dioxide, and their receipt is impossible in "swamp" on the site.
Development of cucumbers is influenced also by water temperature for watering. If it colder, than the soil, then the risk of irreversible damage of roots of plant is high.
What to do that cucumbers well grew
First of all control the air temperature and soils. You do not hurry with planting of cucumbers in soil, wait for establishment of optimum temperature condition.
Regularly air greenhouses. But at the same time preserve plants against sharp fluctuations of daytime and night time temperatures.
That roots of cucumbers could "breathe", loosen soil more often. Ideal option – do it after each watering. Only you loosen superficially not to damage once again gentle roots.
Water cucumbers of room temperature. Carry out watering early in the morning when the sun is not so active, or in the evening. Gardeners with experience recommend morning watering that plants could be all day in the Wednesday, comfortable for them, similar to tropics.
