Mint – perennial plant, belongs to the Yasnotkovye family or the Mint family. Mint calms nervous system, kills headache, normalizes work of GIT, feeds with vital energy. It is possible to grow up plant not only on the garden site, but also in pots on windowsill. When to plant mint seedling in what time to land the strengthened sprouts in soil?
Mint is white and black. Black possesses more pungent smell, white – gentle, with strongly expressed menthol aroma.
There is a lot of types of plant:

- Peppery;

It is possible to choose grade for every taste, the main thing is to buy in the checked places as on ignorance, it is possible to get wild grade of mint. Leaves of mint use for seasonings to meat sauces, add to salads, cocktails, tomato juices, make teas for seasonal cold. The advantage of plant is indisputable. The fragrant grass contains the flavonoids, flying air (giving menthol aroma), vitamins (With, B3, B5, B6, A, B9), minerals (calcium, sodium, potassium, manganese, iron, zinc) and tannins.
Care for mint on kitchen garden
Having decided to plant at itself on the site fragrant bush, you remember that leaves instantly breed, can occupy a lot of space, and are capable to blossom up to 10 years. It is hard to remove the expanded bushes (height of 1 bush can reach 30 cm and more), it is necessary to resort to deep redigging of kitchen garden.
That growth has not happened, in advance designate borders, having built bed by means of pieces of wood or old slate and having driven them is deeper to the earth. The sprout, ready to change, is submerged on 5-6 cm in the earth, fertilized organic fertilizers (humus), or minerals (superphosphate, chloride potassium), with addition of wood ashes. That the magnificent, violently expanded bush has turned out, it is necessary to cut and create it periodically rounded shape (such measures are carried out after the plant grows to 30 cm). It is necessary to water bushes every day. Mint since the beginning of June until the end of September blossoms. Landing of seeds for seedling
Seedling of mint can be made in two ways: seed and Cherenkov. Shanks (stalks with root) undertake from mature plants, land in house pots with dirt lumps (not to damage fragile branchy roots). It is possible to grow up shanks, having cut off mint branch (length of 5-7 cm), having submerged it in water for taking root. Approximately in week or two the stalk can be replaced in pot.
Seed way always difficult and there is no guarantee that all seedlings will arise –. It is better to take several bags (each look has certain properties: for example, the Kuban mint has the highest medicinal properties).
The spicy grass prefers the friable soil flavored with nitrogen and with the minimum content of lime. If desired it is possible to prepare structure independently: mix the earth from the garden site, peat, wood ashes, sand, compost, in proportions 1:1, fill up mix in baking sheet and calcinate in oven at temperature of 180 °C for obezorazhivaniye. If there is no time for warming up, process the soil strong (bright pink) solution of manganese. After processing to the earth several days for saturation by new bacteria allow to stand.
Molds for seedling will be suitable any – plastic cups with holes for ventilation and protection against dampness, wooden boxes, containers, banks from under fruit juice. If you have decided to dissolve house mint, then it is possible to plant seeds at any time. For the subsequent disembarkation to open places seedling is prepared in the middle of April, and in the middle of May the sprouts will be strong, ready for resettlement under the open sky.
Due to the frost resistance, mint can be landed in the fall. Seeds to the garden soil (without seedling) land at the end of April - the beginning of May. In August or September the seedlings "will not be accepted" and by next spring will not arise.
For cultivation on windowsill the air temperature has to be 22-25 °C, in the winter mint needs additional lighting and smaller watering (that leaves or stalk have not decayed). That sprouts were not extended because of lack of light, it is necessary that temperature has decreased up to 17 °C and the amount of moisture was lowered – it is necessary to water the soil less often, but, without overdrying (growth will slow down that will allow to keep saturated green color).
Protect mint from burning beams of the sun in the first half of day, and for increase in humidity (optimum 70-80%) fill banks with water, put on windowsill. The air humidity is lower, the less often it is necessary to water sprouts.
It is necessary to replace house plants from pots alternate years.
