Carrying out measurements in any area of the equipment assumes use of special tools and devices. They differ among themselves on a method of application, the accuracy of measurements and the sphere in which can be used. The certain place in measurements is taken by determination of diameters of openings.
It is required to you
- - measuring ruler;
- - ordinary nutromer;
- - micrometric nutromer;
- - caliper.
Instruction
1. In the simplest case when the big accuracy of measurement has no essential value, use a measuring ruler for determination of diameter of an opening. Put the tool to an opening at the level of its diameter and make counting of number of divisions (centimeters and millimeters) which find room in an opening on this line. For the majority of household measurements of that accuracy which is provided by this way it is quite enough.
2. For measurement of inexact openings use a nutromer. Enter the device into the measured opening the right hand. A forefinger of other hand drive a handle of a nutromer into the corner of an opening. Now shake the device a little to grope the smallest solution of handles at which the second handle will concern an opening wall.
3. After solution of a nutromer is established, determine his size by a measuring ruler. At the same time the end of a ruler should be set against some processed surface (in a wall of a part of a support and so on). Accuracy of measurement of diameter in this case will be low (within 0.2-0.5 mm).
4. You make more exact measurement of diameter of openings which size exceeds 10 mm a caliper. The rounded-off side surfaces of its top sponges are intended for this purpose. Insert the tool into an opening and move apart caliper sponges that they rested against regions of an opening. Determine diameter of an opening to within the tenth shares of millimeter by a scale of the device. It is in such a way convenient to measure diameter only of that part of an opening which is located near a detail face, and to here check cylindricity (lack of a cone) it will not turn out.
5. Exact measurements of diameter of openings can be taken also special (micrometric) nutromer. It is supplied with the lengthening cores of various length attached to a device stalk that allows to increase limits of measurements. During measurements you watch that the nutromer was strictly perpendicular axes of an opening which diameter is defined. For this purpose set one end of the device against an opening surface, and move the second in the diametrical plane.
