1. Remember that there are two degrees of comparison of adjectives: comparative and excellent. On ways of education everyone is divided into two forms: simple (synthetic) and compound (analytical). Means, there are four ways of formation of comparative degree of adjectives.
2. Simple comparative degree of an adjective is formed by means of suffixes "-it", "-it", "-e". Add these suffixes to the making basis of an adjective. Weak - is weaker, strong - is stronger, abrupt - more abruptly. Keep in mind that forms with a suffix "-it" are stylistically neutral, and with a suffix "-it" - colloquial. Compare: quicker - quicker, more cleverly - it is smarter. Adjectives in simple comparative degree in the offer are predicates. They do not change therefore have no termination.
3. The compound (difficult) form of comparative degree combines the words "more" or "less" and an initial form of an adjective: more beautiful, less difficult. These forms are book. In the offer both words entering an adjective are one sentence part - definition. It is impossible to form an adjective, combining both forms: simple and compound. Such options will contain a grammatical mistake: "it is less smarter", "with higher quality", "more more stoutly".
4. The synthetic form of a superlative degree is formed by means of suffixes "-eysh-", "-aysh-" from an initial form of an adjective: kind - the kindest, low - the lower, clever - the cleverest. These forms are book, in the speech widely are not used. Some of their forms became outdated and left a living language. Others are dissonant. From the third in general it is impossible to form adjectives in a simple superlative degree. In the offer they are definitions and change as full adjectives.
5. The analytical form of a superlative degree can be formed in three ways. The first way. Accession of the word "most" to an adjective in an initial form: the highest, the kindest. Such forms are neutral. The second way. By means of the words "most", "least": the least convenient, the most difficult. These book adjectives. The third way. Accession of words of "everything" or "all" to an adjective in simple comparative degree: is the lovelier, firmest than all. Most often they are used in informal conversation.
