It is authentically known that Pina Colada was invented in the middle of the XX century in one of Puerto-Rican bars. Though many dreamed to be called the author of the recipe of this tropical drink. Say that the similar invigorating mix on the basis of rum, a coco and pineapple was spilled to the sailors by the pirate Roberto Cofresi in 1820. But after his death the recipe of drink of freebooters was lost. According to one of versions cocktail was presented to public on August 16, 1954 in Bichkamber bar at Caribbean Hilton hotel in San Juan. The bartender Ramón Marrero Perez is considered his creator. Drink contained light rum, the freshly squeezed and filtered pineapple juice and confidential ingredient - coconut Coco Lopez cream (mix of coconut cream and cane sugar) which was thought up the same year by professor Ramón Lopez Irizarri from the Puerto Rico University. By the way, after the opening the scientist threw science and became the successful businessman.

Another story attributes the invention of cocktail to the bartender Ramón Portas Mingot. It worked in the institution "La Barratchina" where in 1963 for the first time I made for the friend and the owner of bar cocktail from pineapple juice, coconut cream and a condensed milk. The enterprising owner of an institution understood at once that drink waits for the big future, and to immortalize this moment, hung up a plaque in bar. On it date of creation, the name of the inventor and the name of drink - a stone pine a pack were specified (quite so it sounds in Spanish). Drink is obliged by a beautiful name to the main ingredient - pineapple juice (pina - "pineapple", colada - "filtered"). Tropical cocktail quickly gained wide popularity. It was drunk not only by the famous people, but also heroes of literary works. The original taste and Ping Kolada's smell used during creation of toilet water, tobacco and cosmetic products. In modern bars, cream replaces with coconut liqueur therefore cocktail prepares and turns out a little more with pleasure more simply. Nonalcoholic Ping Kolada's recipe: 110 ml of pineapple juice, 60 ml of coconut cream or coconut liqueur, 1 cup of ice, orange or pineapple for ornament. In the blender connect ice, pineapple juice and coconut cream. Mix to uniformity. Pour drink on glasses and decorate with a slice of orange or pineapple.
