At all times people were afraid of an apocalypse – the end of the world, death of all live. There is a set of legends in which it is said that with approach of an apocalypse all live will die, the world will be destroyed.
Nature revolt
Apocalypse, or the Doomsday – day of approach of doomsday when there is a natural cataclysm terrifying on force and scale. This concept is connected with revelations of the apostle John the Evangelist in the book of the New Testament where the apocalypse is a form of the fantastic images describing terrible fight between "heavenly soldiers" and Antichrist.
The apocalypse describes also rebellious mood of the people. According to the legend, there are four riders of an apocalypse who will come to this world forever to destroy it. Four riders: - the rider on a white game symbolizing plague or a pestilence
- the rider on a red horse symbolizing war and destructions - the rider on a black horse symbolizing hunger - the rider on a pale horse symbolizing death.
The white horse is considered an embodiment of a lie and injustice. The red horse is a symbol of blood shed in the battlefield. A black horse – a symbol of death and despair. The pale horse personifies skin color of the died person.
Victory of the forces of evil
In parallel with an apocalypse speak about an Armageddon though it is not a synonym at all - concepts essentially different, though characterize by themselves death of the world. The Armageddon – in Christian religion is the place of final battle of the forces of good and forces of evil at the end of all times. According to bible legends, at this moment all governors of the world will gather for fight to enter fight with a devil and his army of the evil. In a prophecy it is told that this day together with a devil all who harm the earth will die. In the 1998th in the USA the film of fantastic orientation under the name "Armageddon" was shot. According to a story line, the main characters should destroy a certain celestial body to prevent its collision with Earth. The movie turned out fascinating and interesting, but scientists-physicists reported that it contains the mass of various mistakes and inaccuracies. Therefore a picture received a set of unpleasant and even negative reviews from critics.
After a release of the movie to screens an Armageddon began to call approach of death of mankind in case of collision of any celestial body with Earth.
Each several years promise that there will be a doomsday. Scientists count exact date according to calendars of ancient civilizations, for example, Maya, considering that they are capable to predict an apocalypse. But what if modern scientists found only a part of messages ancient? What if these calendars do not predict doomsday at all? Unfortunately, nobody is able to answer these questions, except those who made them.
