The dangerous and capricious fiery elements obeyed to the person not at once. First people used natural fire, carefully storing it and supporting. Only after many centuries the ancient person learned that fire it is possible to tame, having forced to serve the purposes. Having learned to extract fire, the mankind passed to a new step of development.

1. At an early stage of development of humanity the people used accidentally received fire. The wildfires arising at lightning strokes in trees horrified the primitive person. But soon people understood that fire can be not only is dangerous. Bringing the burning branches to places of parking, the person learned to support fire, using it for heating and cooking. In primitive communities there were special inspectors of the centers to which duties belonged to feed up fire and to watch that it did not go out.
2. Scientists consider the first and rather primitive way of artificial receiving fire scraping. It was carried out by means of a wooden stick which with pressing drove on the wooden plate lying on the earth. When scraping, small shavings and wood powder were formed. There was a warmth caused by the strengthened friction. Powder and shaving heated up and began to smolder. The person needed only to enclose a flammable tinder to the place of scraping and to inflate fire.
3. Considerably more the way of getting of fire drilling became widespread. This method met even at the backward tribes of Africa, Australia and America in the 19th century. The device for getting of fire included a wooden stick which was twisted in palms, having inserted into a wooden plate. Such operation often took a lot of time, but sooner or later as a result of drilling there was a smoking powder. It was poured out on a tinder and inflated before formation of a flame.
4. The improved "fire drill" had the drive consisting of small onions with a bowstring. The bowstring was wound around a stick, and then the person made onions back and forth motions which brought a drill into rotation. Speed of getting of fire when using such mechanism significantly increased.
5. At separate nationalities the way of getting of fire cutting was popular. Possibly, people absolutely accidentally found out that at blow of a stone about a stone there are sparks which can be directed to combustible material and to receive fire. Subsequently one of stones was replaced with iron bar. It is interesting that in modified option this principle of receiving a flame is still used in the ordinary lighter.
