The speech by right is considered one of the most important acquisitions of a civilization. Without it full communication and transfer of experience is impossible for the subsequent generations. Rudiments of the speech arose at the beginning of human history when far ancestors of the modern person needed to coordinate the efforts in fight for survival. Over time the speech turned into the system of language means intended for storage and information transfer.

1. Possession of the speech is the important sign of the person distinguishing it from other representatives of fauna. Means of communication in the development followed development of the primitive person who was consistently going through different stages of evolution.
2. Scientists find it difficult to define that moment when for the first time there was a speech in accuracy. It is clear only that its emergence was caused by requirements of economic activity of people, for example, need to coordinate the actions during hunting. Researchers fairly assume that the speech was created not in itself, and during active interaction with the habitat.
3. There are various theories explaining origin of the speech. Some experts believe that at a certain stage of development of people passed through a stage of the mutation which brought the first words to life. But such concept based on the physiological factors which are not able to explain how there were concepts, and words found sense.
4. The assumption of what the person learned to tell is the cornerstone of more plausible evolutionary concept of a speech development, daily adapting to severe external conditions and interacting with other associates. Speech communication arose only when in it there was an objective requirement.
5. The simplest sound signals became the first stage in a speech development. Depending on a situation they could mean the need for the help or food and also demonstrated aggressive intentions. Sounds and their combinations for bigger expressiveness were followed by gestures. Rudiments of such speech activity can be observed at modern anthropoids.
6. Society developed, human relations became complicated. More difficult was their work demanding not only evident and figurative, but also logical thinking. The new phenomena brought the concepts corresponding to them which were enshrined in the speech to life. Gradually the speech became complicated, there were words designating abstract categories. But only the millennia later the speech reached the highest form when there was a writing which did transfer of experience simpler and effective.
