Our attention is yet not studied function of a brain, any scientist of the world cannot give as definition to this term, and to define its independent role. The attention kind of works as supportive application when storing (it is impossible to remember, without having concentrated attention), and at recall (it is impossible to reproduce information if the attention is disseminated).

That is, despite of its doubtful independent role, it is obvious what without attentiveness and the ability to concentrate attention on the necessary subject sufficient time any to use from memory will not be. For this reason it is not necessary to neglect attention trainings especially as this process does not take time, and even brings amusing pleasure.

Rules

Before being engaged in ways of a training of attention, let's talk about the general rules of performance of exercises. First, you (your mind) have to be in a condition of tranquility, emptiness. Any thought should not touch you when you train attention. For this reason recommend not to create to themselves time frames for performance of exercises, and to do them when there is a mood.

Secondly, psychologists recommend to carry out each exercise from the program for an attention training on 50 times. This figure frightens and beats off desire to occupations. Most favorable will be to break this number into 5-7 approaches which you will carry out at any time convenient for you.

And, thirdly, having read exercise, reproduce it in the right mind before starting implementation. It will increase also mental abilities and will improve imagination.

Exercises

  1. The camera – settle down in the convenient and quiet location, somewhere on a shop in the park. Stop the attention on any pleasant passerby – you have to "photograph" it eyes. Close eyes and reproduce its image to the trifles. Do not stop. Without opening eyes, present that this passerby does next: its gesticulation, movement, mimicry, gestures. This way of a training and development of attention – one of the most difficult, it seriously strains our brain – imagination, memory, attention, concentration. However in 1-2 weeks at you it will turn out to a descent.
  2. Trataka is the Indian method of development of attention. On the sheet of white paper you draw a colored pencil or paint a square, diameter – 1-2 cm. You attach a leaf on a wall before yourself, at distance – 2 m. You have to focus on a point and not be distracted by foreign objects, as long as possible. At the same time it is necessary to sit in a convenient pose and to remove all distracting objects from eyes.
