Sine and cosine - couple of main trigonometrical functions which indirectly express corner size in degrees. In total such functions there are more than ten and among them there are that allow on value, for example, a sine to restore corner size in degrees. For practical work with them it is possible to use the program calculator or network services.
Instruction
1. Use function an arcsine for calculation of size of a corner in degrees if the value of a sine of this corner is known. If to designate a corner by a letter α, in a general view such decision can be written down so: α = arcsin (sin(α)).
2. If you have an opportunity to use the computer, for practical calculations it is the simplest to use the built-in calculator of the operating system. In the last two versions of Windows OS it can be started so: press the Win key, gather letters and press Enter. In earlier releases of this OS look for the reference "Calculator" in the Subsection "Standard" of the section "All Programs" of the main menu of a system.
3. After application launch switch it to the mode allowing to work with trigonometrical functions. It is possible to make it the choice of the line "Engineering" in the section "Look" of the menu of the calculator or pressing of the Alt keys + 2.
4. Enter value of a sine. By default in the interface of the calculator there is no button for calculation of an arcsine. To have an opportunity to use this function, you need to invert values of buttons by default - click the Inv key in a program window. In earlier versions this button is replaced by a checkbox with the same designation - give in it a mark.
5. Click the button of calculation of a sine - after inverting of functions its designation will be replaced with sin ⁻ ¹. The calculator will calculate a corner and will display its size.
6. It is possible to use in calculations and various online services which more than are enough on the Internet. For example, pass to the http://planetcalc.com/326/ page, scroll it a little down and in the field of Input enter value of a sine. The orange button with the inscription Calculate is intended for start of the procedure of calculation here - click it. You will find result of calculations in the first line of the table under this button. Except an arcsine in it also sizes of an arccosine, an arctangent and an arc cotangent of the entered value are displayed.
