1. Write down the purpose - why you need programming. It is necessary for definition of language from which you will begin to study. Different programming languages are used for achievement of the different purposes.
2. Ask the good programmer what language in your case should be learned first of all. Address the expert who knows many languages. Such people are at the different enterprises.
3. Make the list of all textbooks on this language. It is possible to look at books in online stores, local bookstores and libraries. Write out in a notebook the short summary to each book and, at an opportunity, its contents.
4. Consult to the programmer what textbook is the best for independent study. The expert can estimate the level of books almost unmistakably. And maybe, and something will advise.
5. Work the textbook. Summarize the theory and execute necessary practical exercises.
6. Ask the programmer what standard tasks should be able to be solved. The skills going beyond sections of the studied material can be necessary for achievement of your purpose. You also have to find out it.
7. Solve all problems, using the learned language. In case of successful performance of standard tasks, it is possible to consider your self-preparation ended.
