Sometimes some need to learn amount of the consumed energy or group of devices. It is previously necessary to receive value of instant power consumption. By means of this value the consumed power during a certain period easily pays off. There are several solutions of such task.

Instruction
1. In certain cases the instant power consumption of the electric device is specified in its passport data. For obtaining value of the electric power consumed by it for a certain period increase value of the instant consumed energy (in kW) the device by value of a period during which it worked (in hours). For example, when calculating the energy consumed by the household TV with a power consumption of 80 Watts, worked within 3.5 hours, increase the TV power (0.08 kW) for a while (3.5 hours). Receive value of the general consumed energy the TV during this time: 0.08 × 3.5 = 0.28 kilowatt-hours. In a case when it is necessary to calculate the total consumed power of group of devices, the consumed power at first pays off for each device, then these values are summarized.
2. For measurement of value of instant power consumption of the device turn on in parallel a network fork of the device the voltmeter of alternating current, and it is consecutive - the ampermeter of alternating current. Turn on the device. Consider and multiply the received values of tension and current. For example, the received tension was 218 Volts, and current 0.75 Ampere: 218 × 0.75 = 163.5 Watts. Increase this value by amount of time during which it worked (for example, 6 hours) and receive value of the consumed power: 0.1635 × 6 = 0.981 kilowatt-hours.
3. In the presence of a modern household wattmeter include it in the electric socket. Then connect the measured consumer of current in the socket which is on the case of a wattmeter. Consider values of instant consumption of energy. On some models of wattmeters the value of the consumed energy for tense which passed after inclusion is in addition specified.
