How to receive alternating current

How to receive alternating current

For receiving alternating current the generator on permanent magnets can be used. Such device generates not the industrial voltage of 220 V, but low alternating voltage on three phases which can be straightened and given on an exit in the form of the direct current suitable for battery charging of 12 V subsequently.

Instruction

1. Provide the following nodes in a design of the generator of alternating current: the stator consisting of the coil and a wire; steel axes and pins; two magnetic rotors; rectifier.

2. Manufacture the stator of six coils of a copper wire which are filled in with epoxy resin. Fix the case of the stator by pins that it did not rotate. Connect wires from coils to the rectifier which will make the direct current necessary for battery charging subsequently. To avoid overheating, attach the rectifier to an aluminum radiator.

3. Fix magnetic rotors on the compound design rotating on an axis. Install the back rotor behind the stator. The front rotor will be outside, it fastens to the back rotor by means of the long needles which are passed through the central opening of the stator. If you plan to use the generator on permanent magnets with the wind-driven generator, on the same needles mount wind-driven generator blades. Blades will rotate rotors, and thus to move magnets along coils. Variation magnetic field of rotors creates current in coils.

4. As the generator on permanent magnets is designed for sharing with the small wind generator, provide the following knots: the mast executed in the form of the steel pipe fixed by cables; the rotating head established on a mast top; a shaft for turn of the wind-driven generator; blades.

5. Reel up coils for use in the generator for development of big turns by thicker wire, at the same time the coil has to contain a small number of rounds. However consider that at too small turns the generator will not work at permanent magnets. For use of the generator both on big, and at a small speed it is necessary to change a way of connection of coils (from "star" for "triangle" and vice versa). "Star" will well work at small wind, "triangle" - at big.

6. At the device of fastening of magnets pay attention that they should not separate from a seat. The dangling magnet will unstitch the case of the stator and is irreversible will damage the generator.

7. At installation of the rotor and stator leave between them a gap in 1 mm. At severe conditions of work this gap should be increased.

8. One more technological moment – blades you fix not to the external rotor but only on needles. At the same time you hold the generator so that its axis of rotation was located vertically, but it is not horizontal.
