1. Take the thermometer of any system and place its sensor (it can be a vial of liquid, a barrel of gas, a bimetallic plate, the thermocouple, etc.) in that point of space where it is necessary to take temperature of thermal process. For example, to take water temperature the ordinary liquid thermometer, place a bubble of the thermometer in which there is a tinted alcohol or mercury, directly in water. The same and with gas or a solid body. Determine the current value of temperature by indications of an arrow on a scale, to the level of raising of liquid in a tube or consider digital indications on the screen of the electronic thermometer.
2. After the value of temperature in degrees Celsius is recorded, transfer this size to Kelvins. For this purpose to the current value of temperature, add number 273.15. It is a difference between scales of temperatures of Celsius and Calvin.
3. At measurement of temperature it is necessary to follow safety regulations not to be traumatized. Place the sensor in a point where temperature is taken, very accurately not to burn. The same rule works at measurement of ultralow temperatures. It is very important to watch integrity of the sensor, especially in mercury thermometers.
