The task about a wolf, a goat and cabbage is one of the most known and often set at school logical puzzles. According to one of versions this task was thought up in the 8th century. How does its decision look?

1. According to a condition on one river bank there are a wolf, a goat and a head of cabbage. The peasant needs to transfer them to other coast so that nobody suffered. The situation is complicated by the fact that nearby there is no bridge, but it is possible to use the boat. But in it so there is not enough place that except the peasant someone can be located one: wolf, goat or cabbage.
2. If with it the wolf floats, the goat will remain ashore and will eat a head of cabbage until she of the peasant is near. It is imprudent to take cabbage too as the wolf can eat a goat. To leave Then unguarded a predator and a head of cabbage – the most logical decision. Means, the peasant has to take a goat.
3. When it appears on other coast, the peasant will float back. Whom to take away the following? There are two equally right decisions: to take either a wolf, or cabbage. Whoever chose the peasant, the main thing, having moored to other coast, to land cargo and to go back together with a goat. What for? In the first case that the wolf did not get it on eating up, in the second – that it did not manage to regale on cabbage. In other words, if not to take a goat in a way back, the old man will not transport cargo in integrity.
4. When the boat moors to the first coast, the peasant has to land a goat, take wolf/cabbage, deliver freight to the opposite coast, then go to the finishing flight for a goat. Thus, all three will remain are safe. In total the person should be transported through the river of 7 times.
5. There is a set of the tasks on a crossing demanding not only logical, but creative thinking. For example, two persons stood at the river. Both of them wanted to get on other coast and could use only the single boat. How could they be transported? Just everyone was from different sides the rivers.
