pH (from English power Hidrogen - ""Activity/force of Hydrogen"") - an indicator which is used for definition of a ratio of acid and alkali (basis) in any solution. The term is inseparably linked with a concept of the acid-base balance (ABB).
Though in scientific terminology the concept of the pH-environment is applied literally to any to solution, in modern popular scientific literature this term is used generally at designation of a ratio of acid and alkali in a human body.
What indicator of pH can speak about the normal normal environment? It is recognized that at pH it is possible to designate equal 7.0 Wednesday ""neutral"" - the activity of positively charged ions and negatively charged ions in such environment is identical. Nevertheless, in a human body the ideal acid-base balance almost is never formed - three segments of a lemon will be enough to move an indicator towards the increased acidity.

Role of acid-base balance in work of an organism
There are three conditions of the acid-base environment in an organism: the balanced condition of the environment, the increased acidity (acidosis) and the increased alkali content in an organism (alkaloz). The increased acidity leads to bad assimilation by an organism of minerals: sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium - all of them are just brought from an organism, without managing to be acquired. The increased acidity badly influences work of many bodies, especially a GIT, kidneys and a cardiovascular system. The main complications which can be caused by acidosis: - fragility of bones (as a result of not digestion of calcium); - addition in weight; - dysfunction of kidneys; - allergic reactions; - decrease in immunity; - general weakness.

The state opposite to the increased acidity is called alkalozy - the increased alkali content in an organism. Actually, it is not absolutely simple to cause really increased alkali level in an organism - most often this state arises after the long use of the drugs containing alkali. Besides this state does not contribute to the development of such serious problems as acidosis. Possible complications as a result of an alkaloz: - problem with skin; - a smell from a mouth; - problem with intestines; - possible emergence of allergic reactions to some products. For restoration of KSR most often use enzymes, vitamin complexes and mineral complexes, especially calcium in big dosages.
