Where storks fly away

Where storks fly away

With the first cold weather of pack of storks rise by big height and, conducted by an instinct, moving along the known routes, I depart on "winter quarters". Birds in the southeast and the West of Africa winter. Many packs, flying over Europe, land and remain to wait cold weather in France. Places of a wintering of birds are on Ceylon, in India and Burma.

In the middle of August the storks gather in packs and fly away to the warm countries. Sometimes collecting lasts to the middle of October. Birds at big height fly, landing and doing stops for the night. If existence of the ascending streams allows, bird's packs move the soaring flights. There are several directions in which birds move, escaping from frosts. One of the countries where storks — Africa winter. Birds reach by different routes there. One way — on the southwest, passing France. Some packs remain to winter on hospitable coast of Seine and Loire. Others go further, to East Spain, to Gibraltar. Here the Spanish storks join packs and further a bird follow together. The further way of birds lies through Morocco — on the West of Africa. The number of travelers is filled up by the birds nesting in Algeria. In the Western Africa the storks stop for nesting in Senegal and Nigeria. In the southeast of Africa, there are also places which birds chose for nesting. Winged travelers move over the west bank of the Black Sea, through the Balkans to Bosphorus. Then on diagonal through Turkey — to Syria. Flying by through Asia, they collect packs of the fellows from Asia Minor. Further, storks follow along east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, crossing space over the valley of Jordan — to the Sinai Peninsula. From here wanderers fly through the North of the Red Sea, to Neil. Then storks make flight over East Africa — to the South of the continent. Not all reach the southern point, many packs land on the way and remain to winter. In the middle of November the storks appear in Zambia. Packs reach the South of Africa in a month, in December. Storks also fly away  to Burma. Here, in northern Mianmare, birds chose boggy areas for a wintering. Tropics hospitably meet travelers, providing them fertile meadows and glades under the bottomless sky - in the bright blue afternoon and bluish-black at night. A way of many from these dlinnoklyuvy representatives of group long-legged, namely storks treat them, lies to Ceylon. Here the large number of storks from Central Asia flies. They appear there in the middle of August. Storks winter also in India. Here, in western Madhya Pradesh, in plenty frogs, fish and worms which are so loved by these birds. The Indian climate is favorable for nesting of birds and removal of baby birds. Many packs winter in Indochina and Korea. The proximity of the sea, fish and mild climate attracts birds to these places. There are on a wintering storks from the Far East.
