As at puppies teeth change

Practically all mammals in process of their growing have a change of teeth. And dogs are not an exception of this rule. Newborn puppies have no teeth at all, then begin to be cut through temporary or so-called dairy which then are replaced by second teeth.

Instruction

1. Milk teeth begin to be cut through at puppies approximately a month or a plus-minus one week. In total them there are 32. These are four canines, 12 cutters and 16 chewing teeth. Milk teeth also allow young dogs to pass from mother's milk to firmer food and serve them before further change with constants.

2. Dairy begin to drop out approximately from third month of life of a puppy. The very first teeth which change on constants are cutters. Usually they are literally pushed out from a gum when under a root of temporary tooth which resolves and collapses the rudiment of radical gradually grows. Then chewing teeth, and the latest – four canines begin to drop out. These teeth at puppies, as a rule, very sharp, developed, but quite fragile in the so-called "dairy" or temporary period.

3. Completely change of teeth at dogs usually by 6-7 months of life terminates. However here everything depends on features of breed. So, at big dogs the teeth are replaced quicker, and at tiny, a chihuahua or toy terriers, on the contrary, more slowly. Also can seriously slow down this process and foreign intervention in an animal organism. For example, knocking over of ears or a tail and also accidents which provoke diseases or surgeries.

4. Owners of dogs should watch a condition of a mouth of the animal carefully. For example, if for any reason the milk tooth does not drop out, then constant can begin to grow near it, causing discomfort and a swelling, to complicate chewing of food and to lead to other unpleasant feelings. Besides, the second tooth can not grow at all. Similar problems are serious difficulty with participation in exhibitions, involvement of a dog in breeding cultivation and also can do harm to health of the pet. Therefore at detection of similar defect it is necessary to address immediately the doctor-veterinarian who will give full consultation on this subject and also will advise, properly to arrive further. Perhaps, it is necessary to extract a milk tooth in the operational way.

5. As it was already told above, representatives of small and dwarfish breeds of dog up to 3 kilograms are more inclined to emergence of similar problems. Usually similar violation is often noticed at dlinnomordy and srednemordy pets owing to the developed chewing muscles and the reduced gum size. In such situation not the last role is played also by a feeding form a soft or dry feed which experts strongly recommend to coordinate with the veterinarian.
