1. First of all place the beginner in the separate room, previously having supplied with all necessary. In the room there have to be a tray, a forage, drinking water and a plank bed. The rest of the apartment has to pass into the order of the senior favourite. Leave here carrying in which there was a beginner that the senior cat could feel his smell. If the animal begins to show concern, be not upset. It is normal reaction of a cat to a smell of a foreign animal. Wait until your pet calms down, and you pass to the next stage of acquaintance.
2. Buy two identical handkerchiefs. Wipe with one of them the head to a brand new cat in those places where there are zapakhovy glands: chin, lips, ears and forehead. Rub off this scarf the furniture which is in the territory of the old resident, and leave a scarf in a visible place that the cat easily could find it. With other scarf you carry out the same manipulations, only this time wipe with it the head of the senior pet. Then throw a scarf to the beginner. Repeat this procedure until animals do not begin to react to smells of scarfs quietly.
3. Transfer the old resident to the room of a brand new cat, and it, on the contrary, place on the territory of the senior pet. Try to make it so that animals did not see each other. When both cats calm down, pass to the following phase of acquaintance and try to present them each other at small distance.
4. Slightly slightly open a door to that room where there is the senior cat. So animals will be able to contact, but will not be able to start a fight. Provide contact of two cats daily for one hour. Then you pass to the following stage of acquaintance.
5. Acquaint cats directly. Let they will see and will sniff at each other. Do not leave animals alone that they did not put up a fight. If animals begin to show aggression, it is necessary to stop their contact immediately. Sooner or later tension between pets will fall down and they will peacefully coexist in your house.
6. If cats not up to the end adapted to each other, and you need to leave them at home some, lock the beginner in the separate room. Otherwise pets can start a fight during your absence.
7. Always you feed the cats in one room. At the same time each pet has to have the bowl. After a meal of a cat, as a rule, wash, and presence by a number of the relative can provoke mutual cleaning. If your pets lick each other muzzles after a meal, so they, at last, made friends.
