Having built the sound house on the site, it is time to think of good housing for a canine friend and the security guard. It is easy to make the box with own hands if to follow rules and to consider requirements of thermoprotection and hygiene.
To placement of the winter doghouse the same requirements, as to the summer box and in general to any residence of an animal. It has to be the dry place, light, but with an opportunity to get into a shadow. It is important that the platform was not blown by wind. At the same time from it the view of a gate and the main part of the site has to open, even room doggies most comfortably feel in that point from where it is possible to watch all apartment.
The good doghouse always consists of the platform and a berth where less cold gets. The roof needs to be made removable easily to carry out cleaning of the box, to clean a laying. It is important to calculate the size of future dwelling correctly. In too spacious the dog will freeze, in small will not be able to lay down conveniently. Height is counted, having added to growth of an animal in withers thickness of a laying and 15 more cm. Depth is equal to distance from withers to tips of forepaws plus 15 cm. Berth width – to distance from a nose to tips of hinder legs and 15 more cm. The platform can be wider that in the summer to serve as the cool bedroom. The entrance to the box has to be lower than growth of a dog on 10 cm, and in width there is more than the size of thorax of a dog on 10 cm.
For construction choose coniferous wood, smooth out it from knots and chips. Rama for the bottom is brought together from bars 40х40, from above lay floorboards. For heavy dogs the frame is strengthened cross bars. On corners vertically fix a basis for walls 100х100. Lining is suitable for a covering if to take plywood – it will quickly be stratified. The doghouse bottom is also warmed and closed from the inside clean boards, and from external – a roofing material layer. The entrance to the box is covered with a blind from tarpaulin or shinelny fabric. That it was not frayed by wind, low it is possible to sew small sacks with sand. The floor of a berth can be laid tarpaulin, from above to place a blanket piece.
Cleaning in the doghouse is carried out at least once a month. In the summer every time also disinfection is necessary, it is possible to carry out it time during the season to cold season. When cleaning from the doghouse remove the scraps and bones which are laid up by a dog, clean, erase or replace a laying. It is possible to disinfect walls formalin or kreoline. While the building dries, the dog needs to be overdone in other place. Every year it is necessary to examine the box regarding damage of a tree and to replace the failed elements with new.
